How to Open Your EPUB and MOBI eBooks
There are two types of eBooks available through Substance B: EPUB and MOBI that can be used on a wide range of devices based on your personal preferences including PC, Mac, Linux, Android Tablets/Smartphones, e-ink readers, iPad, and iPhone. Luckily, the software to read eBooks is usually free (except for some apps on Android). Amazon owns the MOBI format, but everyone else uses the open source EPUB format. On Substance B, there is no difference in content between the EPUB and MOBI editions; however, different devices and apps will display the eBooks differently. The eBooks are optimized to work on all devices, so we hope you enjoy them. There is also a new format called EPUB3, but it is still sort of “experimental” at this point so we are waiting on releasing eBooks in this format.
Below are some helpful videos to show you how to make the most out of reading your eBook. There are also written instructions on how to load the inscribed eBooks either emailed to you via Substance B or downloaded from our site for a wide variety of devices.
